GERMAN CHAMOMILE ESSENTIAL OIL
German chamomile essential oil helps to calm and soothe the mind and body—it has long been used to treat insomnia and is highly regarded for its ability to induce daytime calmness and relaxation. The sedative property of German chamomile aids in reducing the feelings of anxiety and depression. Thanks to its potent anti-inflammatory qualities, chamomile essential oil helps in restoring and soothing irritated skin, ulcers, burns, bruises, rashes, eczema and other skin conditions. The antioxidants in chamomile improve the tone and texture of your skin while reducing the appearance of aging, protect your skin from oxidative stress, and encourage the production of collagen and elastin. Because it is so gentle, chamomile essential oil is ideal for sensitive skin.
MELISSA ESSENTIAL OIL
Melissa (lemon balm) essential oil is a natural mood lifter and antidepressant—it drives away sadness and inspires joy and hope. Lemon balm essential oil is good for calming inflammation, anxiety, nervousness, trauma, and shock. It promotes good sleep, relaxes the body, mind, and soul while bringing feelings of peace and contentment. Similarly to chamomile, lemon balm encourages perspiration, thus helping in detoxification. Thanks to its antibacterial and antifungal properties, melissa essential oil is used for naturally treating acne, eczema and minor wounds.
CHAMOMILE FLOWERS
Chamomile flowers are known for their ability to promote healthy, restful sleep. Steeped in a steaming bath, the aromatic oils are released from chamomile flowers for a luxurious, healing soak. Chamomile flower baths calm skin irritations, soften skin and hair, and ease the pain of arthritis and other muscle aches, as well as headaches. Since chamomile encourages perspiration, using the flowers in a hot bath helps in removal of toxins.
ANCIENT SEA SALT
Ancient sea salt is a natural detoxifier, as the salt absorbs the toxins from the skin. Unrefined ancient sea salt contains over sixty essential trace nutrients playing crucial role in healthy functioning of the body. Ancient sea salt consists of a similar assortment of minerals and natural healing elements as those found in skin cells—this makes it a perfect natural ingredient to be used for therapeutic treatments and in skin products. Increased circulation, antiseptic effects, soft skin and reduction in fluid retention are some of the additional benefits of ancient sea salt for the skin.
COCONUT OIL
Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants that help prevent aging and damage to the skin. It is the most abundant source of lauric acid, a fatty acid known for its antimicrobial and moisturizing properties. Aside from its anti-aging and skin-healing abilities, it promotes the production of collagen. Naturally rich in vitamin E, soothes and calms irritated skin.
EPSOM SALT
Epsom salt adds to the relaxation factor by soothing muscles, softening the skin, and restoring lost minerals and magnesium. It contains magnesium sulfate, an important mineral that helps balance the body’s many biological processes and flush out toxins through the skin. Magnesium sulfate strengthens detox pathways throughout the body allowing it to purify itself from heavy metals and other unwanted waste. Additionally, Epsom salt aids in faster recovery after a workout—magnesium helps soothe away soreness, assists in the removal and excretion of lactic acid from muscles, and reduces muscle cramps.
BAKING SODA
Adding baking soda to a bath cleanses and detoxifies your whole body, boosting immune system and eliminating toxin build-up. Baking soda is alkaline, and when combined with water, makes it slightly more alkaline—the water feels a little more silky. Using baking soda in a bath can reduce skin irritation and itching, sooth eczema, psoriasis or diaper rash and relieve sore muscles.
