COCONUT OIL

Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants that help prevent aging and damage to the skin. It is the most abundant source of lauric acid, a fatty acid known for its antimicrobial and moisturizing properties. Aside from its anti-aging and skin-healing abilities, it promotes the production of collagen. Naturally rich in vitamin E, it protects the skin from sun damage.

 

SODIUM HYDROXIDE

Making soap requires sodium hydroxide (lye), water, and oil to start the chemical process of saponification. While a fair amount of lye may be used to create the soap, a properly finished product doesn’t contain sodium hydroxide anymore.

 

CALENDULA

Calendula facilitates healing of cuts, scrapes, bruises, or insect bites thanks to its potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antifungal properties. Active compounds in calendula flowers increase the production of new connective tissue and blood vessels, speeding up the healing process. Calendula is particularly effective at reducing irritation and improving inflammatory skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Used in skincare, calendula stimulates blood flow to the skin cells, provides antioxidant protection that reduces the appearance of wrinkles, age spots and scars. When applied to hair, calendula oil strengthens hair follicles, promotes hair growth, prevents breakage and hair loss, nourishes the scalp and heals scalp issues.

Before you start using this bar, store it in a cool dry place out of direct light.

Wet your skin, work the soap into a lather and apply it to your body. Gently massage it into your skin with a circular motion for about 30 seconds and rinse.

When used on hair, wet your hair and create foamy lather by rubbing the bar wet between your hands, on an exfoliating glove, a soap pouch or a natural sponge. You may section your hair in different major areas and massage each patch carefully with the foam. Once you have applied the lather everywhere, rinse thoroughly.

Place on a draining soap dish after every use.
